The collection consists of nine items, including: letter from Florence Hardy to Mr. Cockerell, 27 Dec. 1916, about printing arrangements for a recently published Hardy poem; poem, A New Year's eve in war time, extracted from 6 Jan. 1917 issue of Sphere, with handwritten corrections by Hardy; proof of three poems, England to Germany, A New Year's eve in war time, and I met a man, by Thomas Hardy, printed for Florence Emily Hardy at the Chiswick Press, 1917, with handwritten corrections by Hardy; proof of Domicilium, by Thomas Hardy, one of twenty-five printed for Florence Emily Hardy at the Chiswick Press, June 1918. Also, undated typescript copy of Domicilium; typescript letter, undated, signed F.E.H., introducing the poem Domicilium as Hardy's earliest known verse; printed copy of Domicilium, inscribed to S.C.
